Late last month, East Longmeadow attorney John Harding announced his intention to run for state senate. Harding, a registered Republican, is a retired Marine who is new to politics. The senate seat sought by Harding is being vacated by Eric Lesser who has announced his campaign for Lt. Governor. The seat’s district is composed of East Longmeadow, Hampden, Wilbraham, Granby, Ludlow, Longmeadow, Palmer, and Warren. There are two other candidates already pursuing the position: Rep. Jacob Oliviera of Ludlow and Sydney Levin-Epstein of Longmeadow, both Democrats.

Harding’s press released posted to his Facebook page on February 26.
