During the latest financial oversight committee meeting, East Longmeadow town manger Mary McNally warned that “we have some serious, serious staffing problems in town.” She told committee members that both the town’s library director and human resource director quit in March. The town has also been operating without a planning director for almost four months. McNally stressed the need to fill these positions and noted that department directors should provide their successors with some sort of written policies or procedures that will help future leadership transitions happen more smoothly.
